VeMULTI

If you decide to stake your MULTI tokens at multichain.org for a maximum of 4 years, you'll be rewarded with an NFT known as veMULTI or vested MULTI. The value of this NFT is equivalent to the number of MULTI tokens you've staked for a 4-year period, but decreases proportionally if you stake for a shorter period. By holding veMULTI, you can earn protocol fees and become a MultiDAO Citizen, which grants you the ability to participate in the DAO. By holding veMULTI, you demonstrate your dedication to the Multichainverse.

How Does it Work?

Upon staking MULTI tokens, individuals will receive a veNFT called veMULTI, which carries power proportional to the amount of MULTI staked and the duration of the lock-in period. The formula used to calculate this power is:

• v: the number of locked MULTI

• T: the time that you stop locking

• t: current time

• maxtime: maximum lockout duration, which is a fixed value of 4 years

When there are 'n' users who finish locking, the overall Power value of the total locked MULTI is calculated as:

The individual's Power share is determined by dividing the power value of their veMULTI by the total value of all veMULTI's Power. The calculation formula is:

In order to become a MultiDAO Citizen and participate in the governance process by proposing suggestions, forwarding proposals, or voting, a minimum of 100 veMULTI is required.

VePower

VePower is the voting strength that corresponds to a veMULTI NFT that is currently locked. The voting power is proportionate to the remaining period of time that the MULTI tokens are locked in the veMULTI NFT, relative to the maximum lock duration of 4 years.

The calculation formula for vePower is presented below. 't' represents the number of seconds left until the veMULTI NFT unlocks, while 'M' denotes the number of locked MULTI tokens.

Here are a few examples.

• Ken has locked 1 MULTI token for a duration of 4 years, starting from today. Initially, it has a VePower of 1. After one year, the VePower will be 0.75, after two years it will be 0.5, and after three years it will be 0.25. Upon the completion of the full lock-in period of four years, the VeMulti will unlock and the VePower will be reduced to 0.

• Mia has locked 1 MULTI token for a duration of 1 year, starting from today. At present, it has a vePower value of 0.25. After 6 months have elapsed, the VePower will decrease to 0.125. Once the full year of the lock-in period has concluded, and the veMulti unlocks, the vePower value will drop to 0.
