Governance Roles

Allow us to present MultiDAO roles. Within MultiDAO, there are four primary roles that determine the activities and obligations of the role-takers. Members can utilize the features of Discord to assist with role assignment.

Citizen

The Citizen role is available to all Multichain users. Upon joining our DAO Discord, you will automatically be granted the Citizen role. As a Citizen, you have the ability to:

• Observe the DAO community's overall activities, including discussions, events, and conversations.

• Gain access to the general chat channel in the Discord community.

• Participate in MultiDAO bounties to earn POC scores, which is used to increase a users vePower.

Multi-Citizen

To become a Multi-Citizen, you must have a minimum of 100 veMULTI tokens and undergo role verification on Discord, which is a step above the Citizen role. The total vote weight earned is calculated through our Proof of Contribution (POC) approach. For further information, please consult the POC page.

As a Multi-Citizen, you are authorized to:

• Propose a public proposal by following the proposal procedures for approval.

• Vote to approve a proposal.

*Committee - Governance v2

The Committee role is a higher level beyond Multi-Citizen, requiring increased operational engagement. Committee members are elected from the top 2%-6% SBT scores of verified Multi-Citizens. The score signifies the substantial contributions a member has made before being selected for the Committee. Correspondingly, Committee members have greater responsibilities in the DAO, identified by their roles and receive higher rewards, including:

• Participating in the DAO governance admin and management discussions, and contributing ideas and solutions.

• Developing a tracking record of significant discussions and decisions for next-level actions.

• Initially, we propose a six-month validation for this role, and a re-assessment will occur one month before the expiration date.

• Enjoying a 50% boost in bounty income.

*Council - Governance V1(v2+multi-sig)

The highest level of all DAO members is the Council, which is a promotion from the Committee role. The most significant distinction between a Council and a Committee is access to the Treasury. For additional information about how the Treasury operates, please refer to the Treasury section.

As a Council member, you are authorized to:

• Participate in DAO governance admin and management discussions, and contribute ideas and solutions.

• Develop a tracking record of important discussions and decisions for next-level actions.

• Participate in Treasury management and activities.

• The Council role is initially suggested for a twelve-month validation period, with a re-assessment taking place two months prior to the expiration date.

• Enjoy a 200% boost in bounty income.
